Aztec Martini

I've been working on this Kahlua/tequila cocktail for awhile with thoughts of naming it The Aztec for its Central American flavors. But nothing seemed to really shine or stand out. Until I thought to add honey.

The honey and sourness of the grapefruit juice nicely compliment the raw chocolate Kahlua and the more bitter tequila. I think it's a fine somewhat sweet drink with a very definite layering of flavor as you sip it.
  • 2 oz Blanco Tequila
  • 2 oz Kahlua
  • 1 oz Grapefruit Juice
  • Honey
Chill an up glass with crushed ice and water. Rim the inside of the glass with honey so it flows down to the bottom. Shake all liquid ingredients with ice in a shaker until it sweats and strain into the glass.
