S'more Martini

With the addition of a couple of marshmallow vodkas out there, the compilation of a S'more cocktail goes without saying. I chose Smirnoff's Fluffed Marshmallow as it has a more toasted marshmallow flavor. Coupling that with a chocolate liqueur is obvious. But the more I played with my collection, the more I found that the addition of Creme de Cocoa or Godiva Liqueur just made the drink taste like a vanilla-ish chocolate. The marshmallow flavor disappeared entirely.

That is until I tried it with a little Kahlua. There's just enough chocolate flavor in the Kahlua to add that flavor and not overpower anything else. The Frangelico in this case adds a touch of the graham cracker flavor and brings the whole drink together. To keep it from being too sweet, it's "watered down" with straight vodka to thin out the syrupy sweetness of the other liqueurs.
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 2 oz Smirnoff Fluffed Marshmallow Vodka
  • 1 oz Kahlua
  • 1/2 oz Frangelico
  • Butter
  • Graham Crackers
  • Miniature Marshmallows
Chill an up glass with crushed ice and water. Run a slice of butter around the glass and rim it with crushed graham crackers. Shake the ingredients with ice in a shaker until it sweats. Strain into the glass. Garnish by floating 3 or 4 miniature marshmallows that have been toasted over the stove top.
